Mitesh M. Patel is a Member/Managing Partner at Mavinkurve & Patel, LLC. Mitesh has experience handling various commercial and residential real estate transactions throughout New Jersey. His team handles approximately 1,000+ transactions a year. Mitesh’s practice also includes business sale/purchase, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, commercial lending (i.e. SBA, non-recourse, etc.), commercial leasing, startups, franchise sale/purchase, and negotiating partnership disputes. Mitesh represents a vast array of clients from first time home buyers to sophisticated investors.
Prior to the formation of Mavinkurve & Patel, LLC, Mitesh was an Associate Attorney at a premier boutique law firm in South New Jersey that specialized in Employment and Labor matters throughout the State. Specifically, Mitesh represented various employees in their capacity as union members under Collective Bargaining Agreements (“CBA”) wherein the employee would file grievances for the employer’s failure to comply with the CBA. In other instances, Mitesh represented employees that may have been aggrieved by the employer’s hostile action or non-compliance with the CBA, employment regulations, or state law. Some of the Unions Mitesh represented included, but were not limited to, police officers (FOP), firefighters, teachers, and other blue collar employees.
Mitesh also has a background in Bankruptcy Law based on his judicial clerkship at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware during his second year of law school. On occasion, Mitesh has assisted clients in filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy petitions and navigated them in the right direction with respect to their financial distress. During his final year of law school, Mitesh also had the privilege of working with Attorney General Beau Biden at the Delaware Department of Justice as a clerk within the Office’s criminal division.
Mitesh received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy at Rutgers University (2004). Mitesh obtained his Juris Doctorate at Widener University Delaware Law School (2009).
In his spare time, Mitesh likes fitness, spending time with his wife and children, and traveling to different countries.
